COVID-19 Precautions

Property Announcements: Safety Precautions Against COVID-19

Updated July 9, 2020

Here at the Mediterranean Inn, an independent family owned hotel established in 2001 and operated continuously by the same owners and managers (and most of the staff) throughout, there is no higher priority than the health and well-being of our team members, guests and partners. We are closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19, and following the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as all City, County, and other local health authorities with the utmost diligence.

Since the early stages of the outbreak, heightened daily cleaning and disinfecting practices have been implemented throughout our hotel. We have always stationed hand sanitizing stations for your use throughout our public areas, and asked staff to limit contact with our dearly loved guests and their personal belongs to the extent possible. As we adjust to new paradigms, we’ve also added a specific safety czar with full authority to monitor and alter or adjust our responses as further science and prudence indicates.

The Mediterranean Inn is continuing with operations and hosting of travelers, while monitoring the continuously updated recommendations of health authorities. However, if you have reservations to stay with us and are feeling ill (experiencing symptoms like a fever, cough, or shortness of breath), please do not travel as planned, and, instead, contact the party you booked through or the hotel itself at 206-428-4700 24 hours/day so we may assist you.

Starting July 7, 2020 everyone in Washington is required to wear a mask inside, in most situations and unfortunately we won't be able to serve you without one. Please be safe out there. For more information and a list of exemptions, visit this link.

Our philosophy has always been to allow our guests maximum flexibility in their travel needs, eschewing the modern tendency to rely on non-refundable reservations. With these additional challenges, our flexible stay policies continue to best serve our guests, and families and friends.

We will remain attentive and are prepared to respond to changing conditions. Thank you for your continued support. We genuinely appreciate it; we could not be who we are without you and your support over the years. We look forward to many more decades of being your home away from home. If anything changes, we will be there for you, safely.
